LOS ANGELES – “The Woman King” was fourth with $3.7 million in its fifth weekend, followed by “Amsterdam” with $2.8 million in its second weekend.
The latest edition of the long-running slasher franchise — which star Jamie Lee Curtis has said will be her last — finished far ahead of another horror movie, “Smile,” which took in $12.4 million after two weeks in the No. 1 spot, Comscore reported.
The family film “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” was third, grossing $7.4 million Friday through Sunday in its second week in theaters.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were “Don’t Worry Darling” ($2.1 million), “Barbarian” ($1.4 million), “Bros” ($920,000), “Terrifier 2” ($850,000) and “Top Gun: Maverick” ($685,000).
This weekend’s overall three-day box office haul was estimated at $78.1 million. The year-to-date total is up to $5.904 billion — an increase of 109% over the figure at this time last year, according to Comscore.
