Word on the Streets: Is the Compton Councilwoman Committing Voter Fraud

0
By 2UrbanGirls on May 19, 2019 Uncategorized

Compton Councilwoman Janna Zurita is facing some sensational allegations surrounding her personally visiting residents homes to usurp their election ballots. Some residents call it voter fraud.

Zurita is allegedly visiting homes, of residents with code violations, to entice them to sign their ballots and give them to her to fill out.

She is allegedly dangling the threat of code violations to force them into compliance.

2UrbanGirls posted in the Eye Witness News in Compton facebook group asking if the claims are true or false. Many residents came forward to share their stories.

One resident stated that Compton city employees obtained entrance into his fathers backyard to discover they changed their windows without the proper permit. A call to City Hall, was made to Zurita’s sister Satra, who then worked in public works, who wiped the violation clean then stated “they owed her one”.

Another resident shared during Zurita’s first election, her mother Dolores was running the Meals on Wheels program, and stated seniors would have problems receiving their food if her daughter Janna wasn’t elected to city council. They quickly complied.

Finally, another resident shared that their neighbor was also personal visited by Councilwoman Zurita, but refused to sign over her ballot.

Other allegations include Zurita’s best friend, who was a one-time paramour of a former Compton mayor, also engaging in rounding up ballots from Latinos under the threat of ICE visiting their homes.

Some commenters in the group stated this is a form of “racketeering”.

Insiders with the Justin Blakely campaign have shared with 2UrbanGirls that Blakely NEVER asked for the support of the Zurita’s for his campaign despite them being prominently featured on his campaign page. They hitched themselves to his campaign, at the behest of Councilman Isaac Galvan, to garner favorable publicity in the community after scathing news reports centered around Janna’s behavior during city council meeting and the condition of the streets.

Why would a candidate, commit possible illegal acts, for a position that pays $600 per month?
