Multiple elected officials have contacted this author saying “it’s about to go DOWN in yo city”!
Word is Melanie McDade-Dickens will be filing a lawsuit for sexual harassment against her “alleged” former lover Inglewood Mayor James Butts. 2UrbanGirls wonders if any current city employees will be called as “hostile” witnesses to substantiate her claims.
The “alleged” long-term relationship began when McDade was working on the mayor’s 2011 campaign and “allegedly” ended sometime last year.
McDade climbed the proverbial “corporate ladder” and received multiple bonuses, totaling tens of thousands of dollars, and amassed an annual compensation package that exceeded $324,000 in the process.
Speculation continues to grow as to whether McDade truly earned those titles, or were they bestowed by City Manager Artie Fields and HR Director Jose Cortes, to keep the peace with Mayor Butts, in order to keep their high salary jobs?
Many of her promotions were in an “acting” capacity which allowed them to be removed from her at any given time, without warning.
Drawing comparisons to the debacle in the city of Los Angeles involving Councilman Jose Huizar and his former aide Francine Godoy. Godoy sued Huizar for sexual harassment, with Huizar being held personally liable for the affair at NO cost to taxpayers.
Will McDade bankrupt the Butts family? More importantly, will taxpayers have to foot Mayor Butts’ legal fees?
2UrbanGirls reached out to both Melanie McDade, and her attorney of record, Carl Douglas, for confirmation, but neither responded. YET.
