Sen. Holly J. Mitchell has secured her seat on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and people are lining up to take her seat including a famous playboy’s son.
Asm. Autumn Burke cruised to an easy victory over Republican Robert Steele and with nearly $560,000 cash on hand, she has already opened the Burke for Senate 2024 committee, after terminating Burke for Senate 2022. Â She has already raised a little over $8,000.
Cooper Hefner, son of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has opened an exploratory committee for Senate 2022. Â He currently has $31,000 on hand to start with.
Cooper is independently wealthy, and wouldn’t use his seat as a means to keep his family financial stable, as it is alleged that’s why Burke’s parents pushed her into politics. Â Burke doesn’t seem to business savvy as the Franchise Tax Board shows her long time real estate consulting business is suspended due to failure to pay state taxes.
Another name floating around is Asm. Sydney Kamlager-Dove who believes she already has the seat on lock.
If Burke is able to elevate herself out of Inglewood, Tina McKinnor, Robert Pullen-Miles and Eloy Morales are mulling over the idea of moving into the seat.
McKinnor was destined to run for the seat but was asked to yield so Burke could ride her mommas name to victory. Â Eloy Morales has been busy working for multiple architecture, transportation and waste management firms, while simultaneously collecting a “full-time” salary from Inglewood taxpayers. Â His alleged corruption was included in a Pulitzer Prize winning investigation into the Centinela Valley Union High School District. Â Robert Pullen-Miles thinks highly of himself if he believes anyone knows him outside of the city of Lawndale. Word is Burke put him in her office as there was no way he would outshine her.
