Dallas Fowler is the principal of Daltek Global Solutions LLC, a boutique communications firm located in the Greater Los Angeles area. Dallas is no stranger to the political scene, as a highly sought after campaign consultant. Dallas has also earned the trust and support of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, securing key appointments to a couple of high-profile commissions.
Dallas is an alumnae and past alumnae president for the prestigious Los Angeles African-American Women’s Public Policy Institute (LAAWPPI), which is housed at the University of Southern California (USC). Dallas has also joined forces with Isaac Brown, founder of Extended Hospitality Group , promoting minority ownership and participation in the hospitality industry.
Being a close confidant of Mayor Garcetti earned Dallas two key appointments, to complete terms vacated by her predecessors. In December 2013 Ms. Fowler was appointed to the City of Los Angeles Commission on the Status of Women of the Housing and Community Investment Department. Ms. Fowler joined other commissioners in ensuring gender equity in Los Angeles. The commission was established in 1975 and relaunched by the mayor after his election. The six month appointment turned into a permanent delegate designation, through July 2015.
In August 2015, Mayor Garcetti appointed Ms. Fowler to the LAPD Commission Permit Review Panel. This commission is responsible for reviewing and approving film permits and listening to complaints from residents. Ms. Fowler shared with 2 Urban Girls, “Mayor Garcetti appointed me to a vacated seat, which I hope turns into a full five-year term.”
Other noted accomplishments of Ms. Fowler are being honored in 2013 by the Los Angeles Wave Newspaper as their Most Influential Person Under 40 To Watch and serving as Chair, of the Alliance of Black Telecommunications Employees, Inc National Youth Conference.
