LA County Metro Construction Committee Chair Janice Hahn has called for an audit of vendor payments related to the Crenshaw/LAX rail line project.
During the Construction Committee meeting held on Thursday, June 18th, representatives from Neal Electric outlined their complaints with Walsh/Shea who serves as the primary contractor on the project.
Those complaints are also detailed in a Letter to the Editor to 2UrbanGirls.
During closed session Hahn inquired of Metro when the last audit was performed. Â Metro representatives replied “somewhere around 2012”.
Neal Electric has made explosives claims, that Metro is neither enforcing nor monitoring payments to Walsh/Shea as outlined in the contract. Â Payments are being disbursed to Walsh/Shea without proper documentation from Neal Electric.
No date was given as to when the audit would commence.
