Longtime Inglewood Planning Commissioner Terry Leroy Coleman has succumbed to an unknown illness.
Coleman was a former police officer serving in the Los Angeles Airport Police Department.
He was appointed to the planning commission by District 4 Councilman Ralph Franklin where he served as Vice-Chair.
His illness caused him to miss a key planning commission meeting, in June, to vote on an environment impact report related to the proposed Clippers arena.

He would officially retire from the commission in July.
He leaves behind family and friends with final services unknown at this time.
