Dear 2UrbanGirls,
I am a regular reader and saw one of your last posts on the state of the city of Inglewood. My employer was featured: BYD (Build Your Dreams). I work at the manufacturing plant in Lancaster and we have had COVID-19 outbreaks where more than 20 employees have been walked out, over the last two weeks. TWO weeks!
BYD isn’t taking our temperatures when we arrive nor are they enforcing mask mandates. Which is crazy because they manufacture masks.
Our plant was shut down at the start of the pandemic and once we reopened there has been a steady stream of cases that have gone unreported to the health department.
What does our company gain from not reporting? I checked the health departments website and there is no indicator there is an outbreak here. Isn’t it mandatory that employers report?
Please help!
Scared for our life
**Editor’s note:  to report an employer who isn’t complying you. An either call (888) 700-9995 or file an online complaint here!Â
