Dear 2UrbanGirls,
Thank you for showing us the importance of reading the city’s warrant register. We also looked at the Claims Review approval of expenditures against this weeks warrant register and have questions.
Do you think Mayor Butts will explain why taxpayers are paying Thomas Bunn as our Social Media/Video Manager a salary + benefits package of neary $100,000 per year and yet we are paying outside vendors for the same services?
Either Bunn isn’t qualified for the job or this is another example of Butts gifting taxpayer funds to his friends. More importantly, why isn’t the public invited to these meetings? Why aren’t we allowed to comment?Â
Another questionable check #686251 is to Willdan Engineering. They are set to get $1,021.77 for Parking & Traffic Commission support and according to the city’s website, they haven’t met since May 2019. Taxpayers are being robbed right under our noses. No wonder Judy Dunlap and Mike Stevens always voted NO on the warrant register.

Don’t know about Bunn, but Wildan is a legit company that provides consulting services to a lot of cities. They also have a lot of former city directors who are “between” jobs.
Just an FYI
Apparently Burbank is paying Willdan $65/hour to give out citations to folks not wearing masks.
That’s on the City of Burbank and their stupidity.
