  1. Is I.U.S.D. promoting racism?

    No, they’re not…instead they wanna hide it. They won’t dare promote racism out loud, but the actions I.U.S.D. is taking on complaints speaks volumes. Disciplinary action actually happening against the offending party is depending on if they like you or how much noise you will make if they ignore it.

  2. I agree with every thing that was said. I worked for IUSD for 33 years and have witness Administrators passing over black employee’s who have kept the District running.
    Christ Graber don’t know his Ass from his Head that’s why I opposed out of paying Union Dues years ago. At the last meeting classified employee’s had with Hedieh Khajavi, of Human Resources who was notifying us of the AX which the District planned to drop on Black employees neck, and when Chris tried to speak on classified employees behalf, she told him not to speak that this was her meeting. If Chris knew anything he would have had everyone at the meeting shut down and told Ms. Khajavi, that he was representing IUSD Classified employee’s. But instead he did exactly what he was told. This was because he did not know any better.
    It is documented in my book ONE BLACK GIRL, how administrators in the District pass over Black employee’s who try and promote because they are immediate by their knowledge and choose people of another race who they think they can control.
    While working at IUSD Head Start Program the Administrator who was Iran choose an Hispanic over me for a position where I ranked number 1 and she ranked number 3, which only three people applied for the position. The administrator, replaced a number of black employee’s with the new hires, friends and family who she thought she could control. They walked the Iran to the door after they reported to the IUSD of her incompetence.

    IUSD Classified employee’s have been the back bone of IUSD for year without any raises, which is the COLA money that the State of California allocate to IUSD each year and along with the District the Union claims it to be a raise
    STOP the madness IUSD Classified employee’s and stop being afraid to stand up for your rights.

The problem is Noberto Perez, Mike Orona, Byron Miller 3 people hired in their current position to go around and harrass/bully the current custodian crew into quiting or having a mental/emotional break down. Staff are sick of being harrassed and treated like modern slaves so many are retiring or quiting. We will not be sent into unsafe work conditions for no compensation and expect to perform at 200% with a smile on our face while being daily put down while the Human resources and the union turn blind eyes and become deaf to any and all issues.

    2. I agree about Perez. Byron and Mike can only do what they are told. You can’t blame them. Now that Perez…God gon get his evil ass. That man is a demon. He is literally trying to destroy a whole foundation.
      I thought things start from the top? You don’t hear them getting rid of any directors.
      Torres allowing him to do these things! With her snake ass. Perez needs to resign, but then again that’s too much like right. What is Perez’s qualifications and educational background? Yet he’s given a whole district to dismantle, I mean run. He has a hidden agenda. He has got to go.
      Anytime you challenge him, he puts you on Administrative Leave. Every department that he’s over is fed up. Stressed out. Even poor Anthony. Allow the man to do HIS job. Which is also the problem. Ole Norberto wants to be so involved in every single thing. Go do COO work. Isn’t that the title that was made up for you? Why is there even a CBO? Perez is doing his job as well. And Guzman, the CBO actually has the experience.

      Would that be the city that allowed library books to be “recycled aka thrown in the dumpster” The same city that would rather pay a secretary big bucks than keep the libraries ( all 3)open.
      Do you really think the example of “pay to play” “gambling is good” and sexual assault are character qualities to be admired ?
      If that foolish idea becomes reality parents will be running even faster to CHARTER SCHOOLS.
      I would rather let children be raised by wolves than the morally challenged scum of Inglewood’s elected council members and mayor ! All the others who permit the puppets to stay in office need to voted out of office also.
      The school board should act wisely to ensure employees are not subjected to bully, hostile behavior but in no way should the school district be combined with the city .

  5. With 50-90 students returning for the remainder of this school year… Additional Custodians are not needed, especially ones that DON’T know the job.

    1. This is federal . Call congressmember watets to expose this obvious waste. This was hard fought funds. Iusd has its hands in the cookie jar.

Perhaps I missed something all janitors have continued to work and get paid….you did not mention that any Black or other employee has been terminated in favor of a “NON ENGLISH SPEAKING HISPANIC, since there are no students in the school the opportunity to be exposed to COVID at work is limited. Right?

    You have said that the outside company is doing “deep cleaning” apparently cleaning more surfaces than the traditional desk, floor, trash can routine of the daily kind of cleaning.

    Unfortunately there has been a very long history of discrimination among IUSD employees against those who are not black and any non-black hire has been met with screeches of racism.

    Perhaps if you had other reasons to say this company is not performing the tasks for which they are being paid rather than “they don’t look like me” this would make more sense —remember our community is more than 50% not black .

    All of our contracts and employment opportunities should be granted NOT BY RACE OR FAMILY RELATION but through an open and transparent request for quote and application process.

    If you scream racism please make certain you have checked your own biases first. Our schools should be a place where all races are respected and work together in harmony so as not to perpetuate a “them vs us” attitude.

    1. Nothing but black people are being harassed and forced into retirement or, fired. The district replaces them with Mexicans. That screams racism period. There are zero opportunities for educated staff to promote. Case in point they keep known racist on the payroll and force black people to work under those conditions.

  7. Janitors are not trained nor do they have the resources to properly Disinfect a highly contagious virus. PS., the district has nothing to do with the employees the contractor they hired uses.

  8. I totally wholeheartedly AGREE, and there’s nothing being done about it, but ppl in high positions getting their pockets fat, and thinking they’re capable of fillings those positions that they’re nowhere qualified nor worthy of at all!!!!!!!

    1. 2. For the period of March 16 through April 17, 2020, the following unit members required to work on-site during school campus closures will receive 1.5 times their regular pay for hours actually worked:
      A. Food Services employees that assisted with food preparation and distribution to IUSD families
      B. Custodians
      C. Maintenance
      D. School Police Officer
      E. School Safety Assistants
      E. Bus Drivers that assisted with delivering the food to the cafeterias
      F. Employees that assisted with food distribution to the public
      G. Receptionist Clerk
      3. For the period of February 1, through June 11, 2021, the following unit members required to work on-site will receive hazardous pay in the amount of $2.00 per hour for hours actually worked:
      A. Food Services employees that assist with food preparation and distribution to IUSD families
      B. Custodians
      C. Maintenance and Operations employees
      D. School Police Officer
      E. School Safety Assistants
      F. Transportation drivers in District mail delivery, warehouse, or a District office support

      1. They should be paid the same amount as everyone else. COVID-19 pandemic was not just going on from March to April. Strictly the custodial staff have been IUSD’s only weapon used in properly disinfecting against this virus. Furthermore, the custodians are the only ones that have to go into rooms that have been exposed to COVID-19. They alone should receive a permanent bonus for their efforts and bravery.
