The city of Inglewood worked OVERTIME to tout the election of Dionne Faulk as the city’s “first Black woman” elected to the city council and for some reason, the Inglewood Chamber saw fit to recognize her for doing absolutely nothing of importance her entire tenure of serving Inglewood residents.
We haven’t forgot her silence when Inglewood Unified tried to close a school in her area while she was on the school board. She added no value to the residents and the district is nowhere near being at the point of returning to local control nearly a decade after going into receivership.
Women in City Hall continue to be in fear of Mayor Butts’ and his free reign to terrorize women employees, consultants and treasurer Wanda Brown. We go back to City Hall next week and are afraid and no one on the council says a word.
Should we consider filing a class action lawsuit as Black employees are doing in the city of Long Beach? There are too many of us being passed over in favor of either White or Latino men, or women the mayor is allegedly sleeping with.
Enough is enough
