Los Angeles -– The L.A. South Chamber of Commerce will launch its #ShopSmall, #ShopConscious, #ShopSouthLA Campaign on Black Friday, November 26, 2021 with promotional events at seven local small businesses throughout the weekend.
At each 2-3 hour stop, there will be free giveaways, raffles, discounts, music, and more.
“At a time when many small businesses are still struggling to recover losses from the pandemic, this is an opportunity to give them a boost and remind folks to avoid the mall and shop small,” stated Dexter McLeod, President of the L.A. South Chamber of Commerce.
“Many of our businesses didn’t survive the last 20 months, so being a conscious consumer is more important now than ever if we want to help our remaining businesses to stay afloat and thrive,” added Dexter.
On Friday, the first stop will be L.A. Grind Coffee and Tea Bar, one of L.A.’s newest Black & female-owned coffee shops in the city, followed by Cultural Interiors on Slauson Ave, an eclectic home décor and gift shop featuring exquisite accents from around the world.
On Saturday, promotional events will be held at Body by Gigi in Compton, Pretty As Me Nails in Carson, and The T-Shirt Spot on San Pedro St.
On Sunday, the Chamber will host a Pop-up Event in Westmont at Perfect Timing Mobile Boutique with selected vendors, and the final stop will be at Lavender Blue Sports Lounge in Inglewood, with live music and food and drink specials. There is no charge for entry.
For Cyber Monday, the Chamber is encouraging everyone to be very intentional about shopping with small businesses online. Several can be found here: bit.ly/LASCCSmallBiz .
