What is going on at 93.5 KDAY? As the popular urban station continues to gain its footing by increasing their presence throughout Los Angeles county, it appears to have had no impact on the stations rating. In fact, listeners are confused as to what is happening with the stations morning show.
Program Director Adrian Scott has kept the focus of the programming content centered around “old school hip hop”. The station doesn’t play any newly released music, unless an artist is in the building.
Scott added White Label Radio and Art Laboe to the Sunday lineup and took a big chance adding on-air talent to the morning drive.
Initially PJ Butta was on during the morning hours and in the afternoon. Then the BIG announcement came in August of last year. Tha Goodfellas were taking over the 5:30am-10:00am slot and would go head to head with Big Boi.
Quietly, within the last couple of weeks, the staff didn’t acknowledge Tha Goodfellas being completely off the air, then to return with only half of the duo.
Fans, including this author, have asked via social media “What happened to Dejai” and all we get is crickets.
You can now tune in to “Romeo’s Morning Show” 5:30am to 10:00am Monday through Friday.
