Chevron on Tuesday announced the expansion of its Fuel Your School campaign into the South Bay, meaning that the company will pitch in $1 for every eight gallons of gas sold at every Chevron and Texaco station in the selected cities during the month of October.
All year, public schoolteachers post classroom project requests on DonorsChoose.org, ranging from pencils to microscope slides and even live tarantulas for use with biology lessons.
Surprisingly, only CHARTER schools in Inglewood have signed up. Are those the only schools who will receive funding? We already know that the last time Chevron doled out money to local school districts, Inglewood Unified School District was not listed. Do they not want to fund minorities?
