And the hits keep coming.  After receiving a scathing anonymous letter from members of the Inglewood Airport Area Chamber of Commerce (IAACC) detailing threats made by Inglewood Mayor James Butts a new lawsuit has been filed by the Chamber’s Vice-President Marc T. Little, who also serves as legal counsel to Faithful Central Bible Church.  Butts Executive Assistant Melanie McDade-Dickens, along with the City of Inglewood are also named as defendants.  The lawsuit details how Butts uses McDade as an intermediary to intimidate members of the community.  2UrbanGirls was able to reach Little who shared this comment with us.Â

“Mayor Butts is a bully. In the face of such success in the City of Inglewood, as a longstanding Inglewood stakeholder, it grieves me to have filed a lawsuit in order to combat his personal assault against me and to stand against what has become a blatant abuse of power by Mayor Butts, Melanie McDade-Dickens and the city itself. Power must be used for good and not for harm. There are too many tales of threats and intimidation against good people and nonprofits, including the Inglewood Airport Area Chamber of Commerce, from Mayor Butts and company that must not stand. My lawsuit will expose these abuses of power and more.”
2UrbanGirls first reported on the rift between Faithful Central Bible Church/Marc Little/Mayor Butts back in April after a series of unfortunate events began to occur, leading up to the filing of the lawsuit, which began in February. Â Which is right around the time it was alleged by the Inglewood Chamber of Commerce board members that Mayor Butts began showing up at their board meetings intimidating them to rehire an employee, Erick Holly, an Inglewood Planning Commissioner, who was accused of stealing money from them.
Marc Little  filed a claim against the city of Inglewood in February 2018, which was promptly denied. 2UrbanGirls submitted a public records request, the same month, requesting copy of said claim and the city has refused to release under the Public Records Act.
Is the Mayor also bullying city employees (and possibly other elected officials) to prevent the release of documents detailing his bully tactics to avoid scrutiny?
At yesterday’s regular city council meeting Mayor Butts further intimidated residents by announcing he hired a bodyguard who is “bigger than him” to ensure City Hall is locked down to prevent the Public from walking through at their pleasure.
Mayor Butts was IRATE that former IUSD State Trustee Dr. Don Brann had a bodyguard when he worked across the street from City Hall. Â Many believed Mayor Butts forced Dr. Brann to apologize for saying he “didn’t want to get hurt around here”. Â Was he referring to being hurt by the Mayor?

Now why would Mayor Butts need a bodyguard, as a former Police Chief and more importantly who is paying for his bodyguards services?
