Former Board of Equalization member Jerome Horton has moved on to becoming the Chair of the Poverty Prevention Alliance, which has no website or information available on its existence, but has sent out a press release through California Black Media, to express his thoughts that Congress will pass another multi trillion dollar stimulus package related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“My understanding is that Congress is planning to do another $4 trillion stimulus package down the road,” Horton said. “They are considering it depending on how (the first stimulus) works itself out. But then, you must file your tax returns,” he said.
There is much discussion about the length of time it will take the current stimulus to reach households and the biggest hiccup could be the lack of either a 2018 or 2019 federal tax return being filed.
If you have filed, and provided banking details for direct deposit, your refund will be issued electronically. If you don’t have this information on file, it could take months for the stimulus to reach you via mail.
For those who owe the IRS, you have not entered in your bank information and thus the stimulus will take months to reach you.
Strangely, not a single journalist has publicly questioned where the first $2 trillion is coming from or how the government expects it to be paid back.
