Compton mayor & actress struggle to raise funds for Congressional run

0
By 2UrbanGirls on April 15, 2018 Uncategorized

Congresswoman Nanette Barrágan will most likely be forced into a runoff in the June primary.  Despite publicly dropping out of the race, 2UrbanGirls believes this could be a ploy by the Compton mayor and actress to address issues with fundraising.

2UrbanGirls has confirmed with the CA Secretary of State that BOTH Mayor Aja Brown and Stacey Dash WILL remain on the ballot for the upcoming primary election in June.  Perhaps they borrowed a page from former city councilman Dennis Zine’s playbook where he publicly dropped out of the special election for AD 39 only to find himself still on the ballot.

First campaign filings show both ladies are having a dismal time raising funds to run against the well-funded incumbent.

Brown has only raised $15,500 and Dash has yet to report.

First filing deadline is this coming Monday.
