2UrbanGirls must extend an apology to former Compton Mayor Omar Bradley for an article we published yesterday and ultimately decided to remove.
The post was from a Compton resident who made claims that could not be substantiated by this author.
Another Compton resident reached out to us, after reading the article, and shared she spoke with the Richard Alatorre campaign and although one of his campaign workers was indeed shot, it was determined it was a random act of violence and had NOTHING to do with allegations surrounding a dustup between Alatorre and Bradley.
“I’ve made it clear I will not support any candidate for District 1.” Bradley shared with 2UrbanGirls when we spoke by phone. “I appreciated the kind words Alatorre shared about me during the candidates forum.”
2UrbanGirls reviewed footage of the candidates forum, held at Dollarhide Senior Center, which corroborated the notion that there wasn’t any bad remarks made about the former mayor by Alatorre.
2UrbanGirls appreciates Mr. Bradley contacting us to set the record straight as the allegations could have been misinterpreted by our readers.
2UrbanGirls appreciates the trust the Compton residents place on this blog to express their thoughts, opinions and concerns about their city and we will continue to cover the election in an ethical manner.
