The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m., Thursday night, at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and E Esther St.Upon arrival, Long Beach Fire Department forced entry into an abandoned auto garage that was turned into an apparent transient encampment. WILMINGTON, Calif. – Four people were hospitalized after being exposed to a gas leak Thursday morning. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 2100 block of E. Pacific Coast Highway about 6:40 a.m. due to reports of a gas leak at Marathon Petroleum Refinery, this morning.  The gases were reported to be butane and hydrogen sulfide, according to Nicholas Prange of the LAFD. Los Angeles Port Police are currently on the scene of an alleged suicide at the Evergreen Terminal in the Port of Los Angeles. Shortly before noon, an unknown subject allegedly parked their vehicle on the Vincent Thomas Bridge, that overlooks the terminal, and then jumped off.
