LONG BEACH – Two suspects have been identified in an organized retail theft ring that is responsible for at least $59,000 in losses to Long Beach businesses, police say. The suspects were identified as 25 year-old Compton resident, Keyilah Lacy, and 48 year-old Wilmington resident, Andy Pollard. According a press release issued by the Long Beach Police Department,  Both suspects were arrested shortly after 11 a.m. on July 18th. LONG BEACH – A suspect is in custody after a standoff in Long Beach Wednesday night. Long Beach Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1600 block of Pacific Coast Highway near Santa Fe Avenue shortly after 9:00 p.m. Upon arrival, officers learned a suspect was inside of the gas station and refusing to exit. Andrew Villanueva SWAT team was deployed and took the suspect into custody without further incident. The suspect was transported to a local medical facility suffering from an unknown wound to the upper body.

LONG BEACH – A man was shot and killed in Long Beach, and an investigation was underway Tuesday. Officers sent to the 6000 block of Long Beach Boulevard at about 9:50 p.m. Monday found the victim with wounds to his upper body, according to the Long Beach Police Department. “Officers rendered medical aid and attempted life-saving measures until being relieved by Long Beach Fire Department personnel, who transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” police said in a statement. “The suspect(s) fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.” Police identified the fatally wounded…

SAN PEDRO – A man has died from injuries sustained in a fatal shooting in San Pedro on June 23. Los Angeles Police Department officers with the Harbor Division responded to the area of First Street and Palos Verdes Street to investigation a call of shots fired in the area around 8:10 p.m. Upon arrival, they found that the victim was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. LONG BEACH – An armed suspect who had taken a man hostage was arrested Thursday after a six-and-a-half-hour standoff with police in Long Beach, authorities said. WILMINGTON – Two people are in critical condition after being struck by gunfire Sunday morning.  Los Angeles Police Department officers with the Harbor Division responded to the 800 block of W. SAN PEDRO – One person has died and another injured after falling off a cliff early Sunday morning. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to reports of individuals falling from a cliff in the 800 block of Paseo Del Mar around 2:00 a.m. Upon arrival, paramedics located an individual at the bottom of the cliff at Point Fermin Park that was not responsive. WILMINGTON – Two people were killed in a fiery vehicle crash early Monday morning. Shortly after 2 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Alameda and O Streets for a vehicle fire with a possible entrapment. Upon arrival, Los Angeles Police Department officers attempted to reach the vehicle to check for any trapped individuals but were unable to do so due to small explosions going off. According to radio traffic, the dispatcher had difficulty reaching the fire department due to being left on hold. TORRANCE – One was struck by gunfire at a Torrance bowling alley, early Sunday morning. Shortly after 12 a.m. emergency personnel responded to Bowlero; located at 21915 S. Western Avenue, for reports of a shooting that occurred at the location. LONG BEACH – A police pursuit ended in a fiery crash that left five injured Monday night. TORRANCE – A man was pronounced dead after taking his life at the Del Amo Fashion Center Saturday afternoon. Torrance Police Department responded to reports of a man jumping off a parking structure around 7:00 p.m. near Buffalo Wild Wings. Details are limited on this incident, but we are being advised that a male subject has jumped and TPD is now awaiting the arrival of coroner.
