As you know yesterday the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) held a crucial meeting about the fate of the juvenile halls and the union president, Stacy Ford, was in attendance. Hello 2Urban Girls, First, allow me to say thank you for your attempts at bringing attention to the dire situation at LA County Probation. I find it odd that major news entities have failed to investigate this story, but at this point it is obvious that they’re only interested in anything other than the truth. There has been considerable conversation about the dilapidated facilities, staff shortages, and even staff misconduct. What news entities have failed to address is how we got here. You can’t have an honest conversation about any of the aforementioned topics if you’re not willing to discuss…

2UrbanGirls, I saw your report on Inglewood Mayor James Butts having ANOTHER recent surgery and I’m wondering if taxpayers should be concerned? Without knowing the extent of the surgery, it was serious enough for the doctor to restrict Butts’ movements in public but in true Butts fashion he was at Tuesday’s city council meeting as if nothing happened. You reported back in March 2021 that Mayor Butts had a heart attack in City Hall and that instead of taking time off to recuperate, he excitedly announced to the public he was back at work the next day. He also had…
