The city of Inglewood will welcome its eighth Starbucks in early Spring.
The site formerly known as M&M’s will be the city’s newest location featuring a drive-thru. The overall plan is to move away from urban centers and set up shop in suburbia.
In late 2020, Starbucks earnings report detailed plans to open 850 new locations, after announcing the closure of 400 to make way for more convenient, efficient store layouts, for their consumers.
“Broadly speaking, we’ve seen U.S. transactions migrate from dense metro centers to the suburbs, from cafes to drive-thrus, from early mornings to mid-mornings with outpaced recovery on the weekends,” Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson said, according to a transcript. “We’ve adjusted our operations to match these new customer behavior patterns, including multiple new protocols to provide a safe experience for our partners and customers.”
The location will be located at the corner of Manchester and Osage, a stones throw from the Forum and SoFi Stadium.
