2 Urban Girls,
Thank you for reporting on the newest lawsuit to hit Inglewood City Hall. It was disturbing to read that $20 million was forwarded to Stan Kroenke with no public record of the transaction taking place. The public is only hearing about this transaction because Mayor Butts wrote about it on his official city letterhead.
Please consider publishing my public records act request that was sent to City Clerk Aisha Thompson.
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (Gov. Code §6250 et seq.), I request copies of all records sufficient to show the authorization, approval, and disbursement of any payment or payments totaling approximately $20,000,000 made by the City of Inglewood to Hollywood Park Management Company, LLC, Stan Kroenke, or any affiliated entity.
This request includes, but is not limited to:
- City Council agenda items, minutes, resolutions, ordinances, or staff reports authorizing or referencing such payment(s);
- Contracts, Development Agreements, amendments, reimbursement agreements, settlement agreements, or memoranda of understanding relating to such payment(s);
- Claims registers, warrant lists, check registers, wire transfer records, or other disbursement records showing the date, amount, payee, and funding source of such payment(s);
- Budget documents, budget amendments, or appropriations authorizing the expenditure of funds for such payment(s);
- Closed-session reports or public report-outs referencing approval of any settlement or payment relating to Hollywood Park or affiliated entities;
- Internal correspondence or memoranda between the City Manager’s Office, City Attorney’s Office, Finance Department, and City Council regarding the authorization or disbursement of such funds.
