Fryday finishes the year with nearly $2 million cash-on-hand

Josh Fryday, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, announced today that he raised nearly $1 million in the second half of 2025. This total reflects he is the fastest raising candidate in the race, having only declared his candidacy in March 2025.

In less than 10 months, Fryday has raised nearly $2.6 million and has the second most cash on hand finishing the year with $1.97 million in the bank. Since Fryday entered the race for Lieutenant Governor, no other candidate has raised as much as he has.

“Our momentum shows Californians desperately want a new generation of leaders to approach politics differently and deliver results,” said Fryday. “I’m so proud of the momentum our campaign has built in less than 10 months, fueled by Californians and individuals who want real change.  And we are just getting started.”

Fryday is a father to three, husband to a public school teacher, Navy veteran, former Mayor and member of the Governor’s cabinet. As California’s Chief Service Officer, Fryday has grown the California Service Corps to be larger than the entire Peace Corps.

Fryday’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor has received the endorsement of Senator Barbara Boxer, State Senator Melissa Hurtado, State Senator Henry Stern, Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson, Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken, Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua, Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi, Moreno Valley Mayor Ulises Cabrera, VoteVets, San Diego County Young Democrats, California Legislative Jewish Caucus, and many others.
