LOS ANGELES – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent Monday to $4.716. This marks the sixth decrease in seven days.
The average price has dropped 5.5 cents over the past seven days, including seven-tenths of a cent Sunday. This is according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It decreased three consecutive days, was unchanged Friday, and resumed dropping Saturday.
Costco Gas Near Me
Costco gas prices remain some of the lowest in the area, particularly at the Inglewood Costco. A gallon of self-serve regular gas is at $4.09, according to GasBuddy.
The run began one day after a 13-day streak of decreases totaling 11.6 cents ended. This happened when the average price was unchanged.
The average price is 3.1 cents more than one month ago and 27 cents higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.777 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
Orange County
The Orange County average price also dropped for the sixth time in seven days. It decreased nine-tenths of a cent to $4.643. It has dropped 6.9 cents over the past seven days, including a half-cent Sunday.
The average price dropped five consecutive days, rose a half-cent Saturday and resumed decreasing Sunday. The run began one day after the end of a 12-day streak of decreases totaling 13.9 cents.
The average price is 6.9 cents more than one month ago and 28 cents higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.806 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
National Gas Prices
The national average price dropped for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.001. It has dropped 9.9 cents over the past 11 days, including seven-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The streak of dropping national prices follows a four-day streak of increases totaling 2.8 cents.
The national average price is now 6.8 cents less than one week ago and 3.7 cents lower than one month ago. It is 5 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.015 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
