According to videographers at the scene, the intruders kicked the bathroom door off its frame before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.
A neighbor said they saw the three individuals but did not call police. The victim’s daughter arrived moments later but was instructed to remain outside as officers entered to clear the home.
In July, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass met with angry residents in the area complaining about the uptick in crime in their area.
In response to the crimes, Los Angeles City Councilman Adrin Nazarian shared a statement, which read: “I have a word of warning for any burglars or potential burglars out there. You might think you’re going to get away with it, but you’re not. You’re going to get caught. There are eyes everywhere.”
Unfortunately, the crime is continuing.
