LANCASTER – A man was shot to death Saturday during a Halloween party at a business building in Lancaster, authorities said.
The shooting took place outside a building in the 100 block of West Avenue I at Division Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday. They located a 19-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Investigators learned that the shooting stemmed from a fight that took place at a Halloween party in a business building in the area,” according to a sheriff’s department statement. “While outside the building, the victim was shot by an unknown suspect. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.”
