REGULATORS!!!!!!! Mount UP!
The Long Beach Baseball Club has announced six potential names for its new club with the community having the chance to choose the winner.
The semi-finalists are as follows, in alphabetical order:
- Long Beach Coast
- Long Beach Cruisers
- Long Beach Grit
- Long Beach Groove
- Long Beach Parrots
- Long Beach Regulators
The voting phase officially opens on October 8th and will remain live until 11:59 p.m. PT on Wednesday, October 15th. Fans can participate in the public vote both online and at designated in-person voting stations across the city.
“The people of Long Beach have been incredible,” said Ena Patel, President of the LBBC. “It’s clear that this community wants to be part of building the team’s identity and is excited about us making Blair Field our home in 2026. We believe these six semi-finalists reflect the creativity, heart, and energy of this city. The public vote will be one important factor in deciding the finalists and ultimately the winning name. This city keeps showing up for us, and now we’re asking fans to do it again: cast your vote, and encourage everyone you know in Long Beach to do the same.”

LBBC continues to work closely with California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and the City of Long Beach on lease negotiations for historic Blair Field. Because there is very little overlap with the CSULB Dirtbags season – leaving a beautiful, historic ballpark available in the summers, LBBC believes there is a clear path to playing professional, independent baseball at Blair Field for an inaugural 2026 season in the Pioneer Baseball League (PBL). City leadership has signaled strong support for collaboration among the City, CSULB, and LBBC, laying the groundwork for Blair Field’s transformation into a new home for independent professional baseball.
