LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a man who was shot to death at a dispensary in South Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the 900 block of Manchester Blvd. to reports of shots fired around 12:43 p.m.
Upon arrival, they located a man suffering from gunshot wounds inside the Manchester Wellness Center. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
He has been identified as 32-year-old Izell Leonard.
The dispensary is located across the street from the Danny Bakewell Sr. Primary Center.
There is no suspect description at this time.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
A motive for the crime was not known. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call 877-LAPD-247.
