LOS ANGELES – Days after launching her re-election campaign for LAUSD School Board District 2, Vice President Dr. Rocío Rivas is proud to announce a powerful wave of support from elected officials, labor unions, and community organizations. This broad and early coalition underscores growing momentum behind her campaign and deep trust in her proven leadership.

- Authoring a groundbreaking resolution to expand school greening and climate-resilient campuses through community partnerships.
- Driving passage of Measure US, a $9 billion bond to modernize and green LAUSD schools.
- Expanding access to dual enrollment opportunities college/career pathways for LAUSD students.
- Fighting for community-based safety programs, sustainable school infrastructure, and alternatives to punitive standardized testing.
- Advancing affordable housing solutions for students and staff using district-owned land.

Los Angeles Unified School Board members Scott Schmerelson, Sherlett Hendy Newbill and Karla Griego have also pledged their support.
Dr. Rivas has also secured the endorsement of the Los Angeles Teachers Union.
