MALIBU – One person was killed Wednesday when a traffic collision caused a vehicle to plunge down a cliff next to a Malibu roadway.
According to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, deputies responded around 11:30 a.m. to the 4300 block of Decker Edison Road, finding a vehicle that had plummeted off the roadway following a two-vehicle collision.
The cause of the collision remained under investigation Wednesday evening, with limited details provided.
Video from the scene showed the vehicle overturned at the base of the cliff, with several older, rusted-out vehicles also visible in the ravine, indicating previous incidents of cars falling from the roadway above.
