LOS ANGELES – A man was shot during a robbery at a Boyle Heights hardware store, authorities said Saturday.
The shooting occurred at 10:58 a.m. Friday at 919 S. Soto St., according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The 43-year-old victim was working at the store when a 44-year-old man robbed the business at gunpoint and fired at him, the officer said.
The suspect fled, but was arrested at Eighth and Soto streets, she said.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he had stable vital signs, the officer said.
