LOS ANGELES – Three people were injured Wednesday — one who reportedly lost a limb — in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-trailer on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Brentwood.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. Wednesday on the southbound freeway and the Getty Center off-ramp, where California Highway Patrol officers found a white utility truck, a gray Jeep and the semi-truck blocking two lanes after colliding with each other, according to CHP Officer Ramon Kendricks.
The victims were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries, the CHP said. According to ABC7 and other reports from the scene, one victim lost a leg in the crash.
The crash closed the numbers three, four and five lanes of the southbound freeway while the CHP investigated the cause of the accident.
All lanes were reopened and the associated Sigalert was canceled at about 7:20 a.m., according to the CHP.
