Hi!
I saw your social media post that the city of Inglewood raised funds for wildfire victims under the auspice of “Inglewood Rises”.
I looked on the City’s website and it says, “The City of Inglewood remains committed to supporting families affected by the devastating Palisades and Eaton wildfires. Following the successful and star-studded launch of our fundraising efforts in collaboration with the 1500 Or Nothin’ Benefit Concert, our community came together to raise critical funds—yet the need for assistance continues.
Through the Inglewood Wildfire Recovery Fund, we are dedicated to providing ongoing relief to those impacted by the fires, including short-term housing support, essential supplies, and resources to help families rebuild their lives. All proceeds from the Wildfire Recovery Fund will be directed to Inglewood Rises, a trusted 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing essential support and resources to those impacted by the wildfires.”
I can’t find their paperwork on the Secretary of State website? When did the council vote to create this entity?
The only thing I could find was Inglewood Rising and its address lines up to the mayor’s friends law office, Kane, Ballmer, & Berkman, which is connected to Royce Jones who is over all of the city’s redevelopment deals.
So how much did they raise and who did they give it to?
