LOS ANGELES – One person was killed Saturday in a multiple-vehicle crash in the Vermont Vista area of Los Angeles.
The crash was reported at 9:20 p.m. Saturday at 458 W. 91st St., near Figueroa Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
The deceased person was trapped in the wreckage and pronounced at the scene, Stewart said.
Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free the victim, whose age and gender were not disclosed.
Two people were seen fleeing the scene on foot after the crash, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson.
It was not immediately clear if the crash was being investigated as a hit-and-run.
