LOS ANGELES – A 63-year-old man who police said is homeless was shot during a confrontation with a suspect Friday in the Harvard Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department’s 77th Division responded at 1:55 a.m. Friday to Harvard Place and 65th Street regarding a shooting.
When they arrived, the officers learned the suspect drove up to where the victim was standing and an argument ensued, according to an LAPD spokesman.
The suspect drew a gun and fired at the victim, who was struck by gunfire and fell into the street, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
There was no vehicle or suspect description.
