INGLEWOOOD – The former owners of an Inglewood property that was shuttered to make way for the Intuit Dome have begun construction on a new hotel along the Century Blvd. corridor.
According to UrbanizeLA, Bhagat Investments – Century, LLC, which previously owned and operated the Rodeway Inn at 3940 W. Century Boulevard have begun construction on a Fairfield by Marriott property at 3640 W. Century Boulevard adjacent to the multi-billion NBA arena.
The new Fairfield by Marriott will consist of a five-story structure featuring 150 guest rooms above a new ground-floor bar and lounge.
The Inglewood Fairfield is designed by AXIS and located in Inglewood, CA, adjacent to the under-construction Intuit Dome and near SoFi Stadium and the Forum. In conjunction with interior designers Level 3 Design Group, the hotel will hold 150 guestrooms and a welcoming ground-floor bar and lounge, envisioned to seamlessly extend into an inviting exterior amenity space along Century Blvd.

The project should be online as Inglewood prepares to host guests from around the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl and the 2028 Olympics.
During the May 13 regular city council meeting Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. summed up the city’s success in seven words.
“We have now hit the international stage,” said Butts.
The City has responded to the growth of its booming hospitality industry as Inglewood voters approved increasing the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) from 14% to 15.5% and is looking to build much needed workforce housing in its downtown area which will make it easier for hospitality workers to continue living in the City and being closer to work.
Across the street from the Intuit Dome, the Kali Hotel is taking shape on the Hollywood Park campus and earlier this year, the City entered into a Disposition and Development Agreement with Arya Group Inc. to acquire city-owned land to build a hotel in the 3800 block of 102nd Street.
Inglewood is projected to become the “place to be” for sports and entertainment for the foreseeable future.
