Disneyland is turning 70 this year, and what is a birthday celebration without NEW food offerings at the Anaheim resort beginning May 16?
Disneyland was Walt Disney’s dream theme park that opened to the public on July 17, 1955. The park was built on 160 acres of former orange groves and the grand opening was broadcast live on ABC. Now the resort will celebrate its 70th Birthday with a year-round celebration.
Disneyland’s friends can nosh on more than 70 new items – including themed treats, modern spins on nostalgic eats, and collectible novelties throughout the Disneyland Resort and hotels through summer 2026.

Many of the limited-time menu items reflect this joyous occasion with party-themed accents, colorful presentation and bursts of flavor. A few must-try items include:
- 70th Celebration churro, available at select churro carts: classic churro rolled in ube sugar topped with marbled blue raspberry icing drizzle and sprinkles
- Mickey-shaped celebration waffle from Schmoozies!: with strawberry whipped cream topped with sprinkles and powdered sugar
- Pineapple upside down sundae from the Tropical Hideaway: DOLE Whip pineapple, caramel drizzle, and pineapple upside-down cake topped with a maraschino cherry

Select items draw inspiration from the past – with a modern spin! Those looking to indulge in nostalgia can try:
- Mickey Hat cookie from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and Market House: cookie dipped in chocolate with a chocolate decoration reminiscent of the 1955 Mickey Mouse Club ears
- W.E.D. chili cheese baked potato from Troubadour Tavern: topped with beef and bean chili, cheese, sour cream, diced onions, and cornbread
- Hook’s Galley tuna melt from Red Rose Taverne: fresh tuna salad topped with Muenster and herb-marinated tomatoes served with house chips
