GARDENA – A 24-year-old man who was fatally shot in the Gardena area was identified Friday.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Jaylon Johnson. Paramedics rushed Johnson to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 14700 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A second man was treated for a gunshot wound at a hospital and released.
Homicide investigators were investigating the shooting, and no further information was immediately available.
