RIVERSIDE – Multiple people were stabbed by a sober living resident early Monday morning in Riverside.
Riverside Police Department officers responded to the 3800 block of 4th Street around 3:00 a.m. to reports of a resident stabbing other residents and the house manager inside the residence.
According to a witness who was walking by said the suspect chased residents into the street, where he continued to assault other residents. At one point, the suspect turned the knife on himself and began stabbing himself before running back into the sober living home.
Four of the victims were transported to a local area hospital in an unknown condition, and two of the victims can be seen in the video being treated on the scene before being transported to the hospital.
SWAT officers were on scene and ordered the suspect to come out of the house unarmed with his hands in the air.
After a brief standoff, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
