HOLLYWOOD – A person was killed in a three-vehicle crash late Friday night.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of the traffic collision in the 1800 Block of North Van Ness Ave around 11:55 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located three vehicles with one person being pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel managed to extricate one passenger who was then transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
According to witnesses, the accident was caused by a young female driver who did an illegal U-turn on Franklin Avenue.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
