LADERA HEIGHTS – A person was found shot to death late Thursday night in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department officers with the Pacific Division responded to reports of a shooting victim in the 5300 block of Alvern Circle around 11:00 p.m.
When officers arrived, they located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in the middle of the street.
Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and declared the victim to be deceased at the scene.
According to LAPD, at least five shots were fired, including the gunshot that struck the victim. Videographers on scene report there is evidence that it may have been a drive by shooting and it’s unknown if the victim was involved or caught in the crossfire.
