COMPTON – A victim was shot and killed in Compton Monday evening
Homicide detectives responded to the 14000 block of South Stanford Avenue, near Rosecrans Avenue, to reports of a shooting around 6:10 p.m., according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Detectives learned through further investigation that the victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition and later died, authorities said.
It was unclear what led up to the fatal shooting, and there was no description of a suspect.
