POMONA – A pedestrian was injured by a hit-and-run driver early Sunday morning in Pomona.
Pomona Police Department officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the 1000 block of East Phillips Boulevard around 12:20 a.m.
Upon arrival, they located one victim who was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene in an unknown direction.
At the time of the crash, multiple people were leaving a nearby party. It is unclear if the pedestrian was struck while leaving the event.
Authorities closed both eastbound and westbound lanes of East Phillips Boulevard as they investigated the collision.
