LOS ANGELES – A 13-year-old girl who was critically wounded in a South Los Angeles shooting and died in a hospital has been identified, county authorities said Friday.
The victim was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as Hai’lee Savage. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital where she was listed in critical condition, but died on Sunday, the spokesman said.
The shooting occurred at 7:30 p.m. Friday at 713 E. 108th St., according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman. The nearest cross street is Stanford Avenue.
The LAPD reported Friday that the girl was shot in the head.
