EAST LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating two fatal shootings in the unincorporated area of East Los Angeles.
Deputies responded to a shots fired call in the 4000 block of E Cesar Chavez Avenue around 10:07 p.m., where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Shortly thereafter, deputies responded at 10:19 p.m. to the 4000 block of Blanchard Street and North Brannick Avenue regarding a person shot, said homicide Lt. Daniel Vizcarra.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
There is no additional information available at this time and it is unknown at this time if the shootings are connected.
