POMONA – A man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside a Family Dollar store in Pomona Wednesday night.
Pomona Police Department officers responded to a shots fired call in the 1600 block of Indian Hill Boulevard around 7:38 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim who was suffering from gunshot wounds. Los Angeles County Fire personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
A witness, who requested anonymity, stated that the shooting began at the intersection of Indian Hill Boulevard and Verne Vista Avenue. The victim subsequently collapsed in the parking lot outside the Family Dollar Store.
Investigators found multiple shell casings beginning in the street and extending into the parking lot.
It is unclear whether the Pomona Police Department has any suspects in custody or if they are still at large.
