CULVER CITY – A man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly stabbing a woman in Culver City, authorities said Sunday.
The woman suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to the left bicep, according to the Culver City Police Department. Police believe the suspect and woman may have been in a relationship.
Officers were dispatched at about 1:30 a.m. Friday to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 6000 block of Slauson Avenue, where the suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot eastbound on Slauson.

The unidentified suspect was identified and investigators located him hours later in the downtown Los Angeles area. The man, a 57-year-old Los Angeles resident, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of narcotics.
