GLENDALE – Authorities Thursday sought the public’s help in locating possible additional victims of a delivery driver suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in Glendale.
The suspect, Fernando Barreto-Hernandez, 24, is out of custody on bond, the Glendale Police Department reported.
Police said the Los Angeles resident — who was working as an on-duty Amazon delivery driver — allegedly sexually assaulted a woman as she walking in the area of Brand Boulevard and Chevy Chase Drive on Jan. 21.
Los Angeles police detectives arrested Barreto-Hernandez three days later on suspicion of a similar attack that occurred in Los Angeles in December 2024, when he allegedly assaulted a female minor while delivering Amazon packages.
Barreto-Hernandez appeared in court on Feb. 21 for the LAPD case, at which time he was arrested for the Jan. 21 Glendale incident.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office filed a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges for the two cases, police said.
He has worked for multiple delivery companies including Amazon, Amazon Flex, and FedEx, according to police
The Glendale Police Department’s Assaults Unit urged anyone with any information related to the identification of additional victims to call them at 818-548-3106.
