LOS ANGELES – A person who perished in a car fire in Shadow Hills was publicly identified Thursday.
The auto fire was reported just after 9 a.m. Wednesday, with one unconscious person trapped inside in the 10200 block of West Lanark Street, near the Golden State (5) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The decedent was identified as Jeramiah Castillo, 20, of Covina, the Medical Examiner’s office reported.
Footage from the scene showed the vehicle appeared to have struck a tree.
Details regarding the events that led to the car fire were not immediately available.
