INGLEWOOD – Eight people were injured after a man drove his vehicle into an auto dealership in Inglewood Saturday afternoon.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, two were critically injured and transported to a local hospital. The other six obtained minor injuries.
The incident was reported at around 2:10 p.m. at the CarMax located at the 8600 block of south La Cienega Boulevard.
There was no major structural damage to the building.
According to CarMax, the driver was a customer.
”This afternoon, a customer drove through our Inglewood, California store, hitting and injuring several associates and customers who are receiving care at the hospital at this time. This individual was a customer who had his vehicle appraised, and he was arrested by the police. We have a plan of action in place that we are currently implementing and we are working with the authorities on the investigation,” said the company in a statement to 2UrbanGirls.
